Every local-authority-maintained school must publish specific information on its website to comply with The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016.

King David School is committed to protecting our children. If you have any concerns for the safety or wellbeing of our children, please speak to the Headteacher, Mrs Owen, who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead. You may also discuss issues with Miss Yael Collins, who is the Governor with responsibility for safeguarding. Mrs Owen is also the Key Adult for Operation Encompass (keeping children safe as victims of domestic abuse).
King David School is a Voluntary-Aided Orthodox Jewish primary school. We accept applications from all faiths. The Admissions Policy is available here. Application forms are available from the school office. If you are applying for Reception class via the centralised Local Authority admissions procedure, you will also need to complete an Additional Information Form, available from the school office.
Weekly School Hours:
The school week for the main school is 32.5 hours. School starts at 8:45am each day, and finishes at 3:30pm on Monday to Thursday and at 2:15pm on Fridays.

School Uniform:
Details of the school uniform can be found here. The School Council regularly accept donations of good-quality used uniform and put these on sale in the school playground.
Ofsted and Pikuach Inspection Reports:
The school was most recently inspected by Ofsted in 2024. You can download that report here, or see all past reports at the Ofsted website here. As a faith school, we have a separate religious inspection. This was conducted in 2024 by Pikuach, the inspection team from the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Their report can be downloaded here.

The Governing Board:
King David School is a Voluntary-Aided Orthodox Jewish primary school. The majority of the governors are appointed by our foundation body - The Birmingham Hebrew Congregation. Values and Ethos:
King David School is an Orthodox Jewish primary school. The Director of Jewish Studies is Rabbi Jacobs, who is the Chief Minister of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation, based at the historic Singers Hill Synagogue. The school developed Mission and Vision statements, through a consultation process involving the pupils, parents, governors and staff. These statements can be read here.
