Welcome to King David School

A message from the Headteacher

King David School is a jewel in the crown of the Birmingham Jewish community. Its outstanding standards in the secular curriculum, the vibrant ethos and integration of Orthodox Jewish values, and the positive atmosphere of co-operation and harmony, all set in the context of a multi-cultural school in the heart of Britain's second city, make it a unique example for education, and indeed, society itself.

The unprecedented crisis from the Covid-19 pandemic has hit us all hard. It is at times like this, that I am grateful to be part of the wonderful community around King David School. Staff, parents and the children have worked together, to protect ourselves and others, give help where we can, and to keep everyone safe. Through April and May, the school was only open for childcare for the children of key workers and a skeleton staff. On 3rd June the school opened to the children of Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year Six, and then on 29th June, Year Three and Year Four were welcomed back.

We are now drawing up our plans to welcome all the children safely back to school in September.

May HaShem protect everyone and keep us all safe.
