Dear Parents/Carers

We know that the work you do at home with your child is very important. We recognise that it can be difficult to understand the concepts and vocabulary we use in school with the children. It is different in many ways because you may have been taught using different systems and, indeed, in other countries. To help you further support your child, we are going to run a phonics workshop this half term, teaching you some of the techniques we use in school as well as suggesting fun activities you can use at home.

The workshop will take place in the hall, on Wednesday 18th December at 2.00pm – 3.00pm.

During the session, there will be an opportunity to work with your child. Please feel free to send another adult if you are unable to attend (e.g. Uncle, grandparent, child minder).

Best Wishes

Mrs Poole, Mrs Scott and Mrs Walker

People who help us

Today we were thrilled to welcome visitors from the police and fire brigade.

We have learned about the equipment that the different officers use and we even got to go inside a fire engine. The funniest thing was watching Mrs Scott try on a firefighters outfit!
