Ancient Egyptian Armlets

In Year 3 children created Ancient Egyptian armlets. Children used recycled kitchen roll to create their armlets. Then using PVA glue and string, children created their design. The final stage involved painting their armlets and applying gems.

Why did the Ancient Egyptians wear jewellery? What did it scare away?

Children have been super busy creating ‘Lap Books’ based on the Egyptians. Using all their exciting facts they have learnt throughout the term to create an interactive book.  This was a great opportunity for children to share their knowledge and reflect on their learning throughout the term.

This week in History, children created their own Cartouche. Children first wrote their name in Hieroglyphics on Papyrus, then used ink to apply colour.

Can you remember what Papyrus is made from?
