‘Light and Shadows’

This week in Science children began to explore their new topic ‘Light and Shadows’. Children learnt that a shadow is made when an object blocks light. To investigate shadows further we created sculptures out of tin foil. These will be used next week to create shadow art. Have a look at how we are getting on so far.

In PSCHE, children focused on the stereotypical views that exist around the world. Children learnt the importance of never judging a person just because of the way they look.

In Computing, we have been learning how to digitally manipulate an image. Children used a range of artistic effects and changed the colour of their image. Can you remember the steps to applying  artistic effects?

Have great weekend.

Cadbury World

We had so much fun on our first school trip of the year! We visited Cadbury World and learnt all about how chocolate is made. We went on a Mayan tour and explored how Cocoa beans were traded in the Mayan civilization.
