Weekly Highlights and Homework 9.10.20

 Mrs Webley's Weekly Highlights

What an amazing week we have had! In English, the children have been drafting their very own letters, trying to encourage the young men of Britain to join the war and fight for their country. I must say, they are very convincing. I can not wait to read the edited versions of your persuasive letters next week. In Maths, we have been recapping our knowledge of Negative Numbers and Roman numerals. These can be challenging concepts for a lot of children but Year 5 have listened carefully to the main teaching and successfully completed their independent tasks. In Topic, we have been exploring the different ways people kept themselves entertained during the war. We have learned all about Vera Lynn and her role in boosting morale. A huge well done to every single one of you for coming back into the classroom environment with the right attitude to work. Year 5, you have earned a well-deserved rest! Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday.

If you need to contact me for any reason throughout the week, please use the Y5 email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Please note, all homework below is to be completed in homework books. You do not need to print anything in order for you to complete any task. Your child has been told which group they are in for homework. It is written in their homework book in case they can not remember.

Marvellous Mustard Tasks:
