Week Two - How is it going Year 3?

It has been lovely to hear from some of you during the last few days, good to know you are all working hard and keeping up with your learning. White Rose Maths have daily tasks and lessons to help you keep up and carry on with what we were learning in school. You should recognise things like the Flashback Four and the activity sheets. You could print them out and use them at home. Stick them into your exercise books as a record of where you get to.   https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/

I hope that, as the weather has been reasonably kind, you are still keeping fit and taking some exercise. I have been trying to do some yoga each morning and this reminds me of our last few PE lessons! Please keep up your art skills too, how about keeping a jar of sketches! Each day, in the evening, create a small drawing of something that has made you smile or something you are pleased with from the day. Fold it up and pop it into a jar or box. after a few weeks, get them all out and look at them, they will remind you of your time at home. My daughter once kept a jar of drawings for a whole year! It became a visual diary for her.

Don't forget our work on plants too, keep an eye out in the garden, can you see flowers developing? Do you remember the names of the different parts? How about the insects, are they settling on the flowers and collecting pollen? If you have any seeds, now could be a good time to plant them.

I'm sure you are all helping out at home too, cooking with your parents, keeping your room tidy, setting up and putting away your 'home classroom' as well as having some fun! Keep going Year 3!
