Self-Care as We Emerge From Lockdown

Dear Parents,

As lockdown is easing all around us, many might hope and think that life will snap right back to the old normal. This might eventually be so, or it might be that you have chosen to create a new normal for yourselves and your family. For now, we just need to be patient and paddle through the waters of physically reengaging with the world outside our home. Our theme of the week is "Putting the needs of the community before our own". That does not mean that our needs are not important, or should not be taken care of, but rather it is about looking at the bigger picture because what affects our communities, affects us all.

The booklet below is written with Covid 19 in mind but its self-care tips are timeless. Looking after your wellbeing is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Kindness to yourself is just as important as kindness to everyone else around you, be it during lockdown or during everyday life.

We, at school, are here to support you and your families. Please, do not hesitate to get in touch either through your class e-mails, the wellbeing e-mail or the school office.

Wishing you a sunshine day

Mrs Cohen
