More Transport Activities to Enjoy at Home

Good morning.  We hope you are all enjoying this week's theme, Transport.  At school the children have been thinking about their dream bikes and drawn a bus full of all the people who are special to them. We have also been counting to 50 and counting in 10's and 2's.  In phonics we learnt a new sound and have been practising the high frequency words that children should be able to read by the end of Reception.  These were shared by blog on Friday 5th June if you missed it.

There is so much you could do at home with this topic especially with construction materials.

Have you thought of your favourite vehicle yet?  Is it a fire Engine or a jet?  Maybe you prefer a horse and carriage.  Mrs Walker's favourite is the ice cream van.  Can you design me one?  What would it sell?  What music would it play? What would it look like? You could draw it, paint it, build it with Lego or even with empty (and clean) food boxes and containers.  Don't forget to write a menu! Please share your fabulous work with us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Another idea is to think about more unusual vehicles. Such as amphibious cars or seaplanes.  What wonderful vehicle can you think of that can travel on land and in the air?

Have fun and stay safe in the sun.
