It's the end of another full week of work in Year 3. We have been getting to know about Viking beliefs and life through our topic work this week and the children have really enjoyed it.

As you know, there will be a few festivals over the next few weeks so homework will be linited to allow for this. I have included the usual spelling list and this coming week we will be concentrating on homophones. These are a really important part of children's learning as it is essential for them to choose and use the correct words for all of their written work. Common mistakes include: there, their and they're, were, where and wear, hear and here and witch and which etc. Perhaps children could see how many pairs of homophones they can find and make a list if they have time. I would also like all children to work on their reading fluency and to go on Times Tables Rock Stars. Well done to those children who have gone on to TTRS already - it really does help!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and - as always - thank you.
