Core tasks for Year 4

  • Good evening Year 4,

  • I hope you have had a restful weekend and are ready to get to work tomorrow morning.
  • Note to parents: You should be able to read and access the tasks on this blog page to teach your child. No task should take any longer than 40 minutes. All tasks can be answered without printing materials; please complete your home learning in the homework which was sent home at the end of the first week.
  • I have attached tasks for literacy, maths and guided reading and I will post the answers to all tasks on Wednesday.

Please complete one task a day, leading up to completing the story on Thursday.

Please complete the tasks above and then use the picture to write your own story, remember to include lots of interesting features in your writing such as:

- Capital letters and full stops

- Adjectives to describe

- Different conjunctions such as because, and, but.

Please spend 5 minutes each day practising one of the Autumn KIRFS (can be found in the back of your planner) and then complete one true or false question and one lesson each day.
