Rosa Parks...

​This October, as part of Black History Month we have been learning about Rosa Parks. Children role played the scene on the bus and discussed how they would feel if they had to give up their seat based on the colour of their skin. Dividing by 2, 5 and 10...

This week in Maths, children have been learning about division. Children used a variety of different methods to solve division sentences. One method that children enjoyed using was a number line.  Can you explain this method to a grown up at home?   Miss Hussain :-)

Veggie Burgers...

This week Year 2 took part in cooking with Mrs Halter. Children made some delicious Veggie burgers. Blooming Flowers…

This afternoon, Year 2 were super busy painting their flower pictures. This term we are looking at Plants in Science and our artist focus is Georgia O'Keeffe. Children used purple, blue and white to paint their petals. What was your favourite colour? Miss Hussain :-)

 This week Year 2 started their new topic 'Rags to Riches'.  In English, children wrote a setting description to describe the Victorian workhouse. Goodbye Year 2!

Today was a very emotional day for Year 2. We have lots of memories including pirate day, World Book Day and remote learning. Year 2's Poisonous Apples

Today in Year 2 we made poisonous apples linked to our topic of Snow White. Our poisonous apples weren't really poisonous, but were covered in chocolate!
